Fresh Air for Free

Mon espace, ma liberté

Public places that are free from tobacco, smoke and nicotine are crucial to the goals of tobacco prevention.

As part of the ‘Fresh Air for Free’ scheme, the Tobacco Prevention Fund is therefore inviting applications for funding. It is on the lookout for innovative and participatory approaches that seek to make public places that are frequented by children and young people into tobacco- and nicotine-free zones.

Through its project, the city of Neuchâtel seeks to make spaces that are frequented by children and young people into declared smoke-free zones. In a first step, the spaces are selected with young people. Labels are then produced designating the areas as smoke-free. Finally, the city of Neuchâtel intends to run a communication campaign to raise public awareness of the issue. The campaign will focus on the positive aspects of freedom from smoke.
