Transparency and Truth – Letting the facts speak for themselves
Transparency and Truth collects, describes and communicates critical facts on the tobacco and nicotine epidemic. It uncovers and publicises facts about various issues that the tobacco industry and other actors would rather keep under wraps. The content and topics for Transparency and Truth are prepared, summarised and communicated clearly and accessibly by a multidisciplinary taskforce in the form of dossiers.
We launched the website www.transparencyandtruth.ch on August 30th 2023. You will find all the dossiers and other explosive facts there. Currently: «Greenwashing». We will continuously publish new dossiers and facts on the website.
All the activities of Transparency and Truth have three goals:
1. To ensure that policymakers, journalists, teachers, coaches and parents have reliable, honest and transparent information on the key topics related to the tobacco and nicotine epidemic. This forms the basis of informed and critical opinions and responsible decision-making regarding further prevention measures.
2. To ensure that young people and their parents or guardians have reliable, honest and transparent information on the key topics related to the tobacco and nicotine epidemic. This allows them to make informed, critical and responsible decisions about tobacco and nicotine.
3. To ensure that the Free. Fair. Future. child and youth programme and all its partners have a high-quality source of information on the topic that can be used for all the programme’s measures.
